Rock City News Q&A: Jurnee Rai Loring, Joe T. Robinson High’s Sophomore Cheerleader

The Little Rock City News caught up with Sophomore Cheerleader Jurnee Rai Loring to ask her about her Cheerleading season. Here’s what she had to say in the Meet the Senators Q&A:
Q: What’s your favorite part about cheering at games?
A: My favorite part of cheering at games is inspiring all little girls to cheer in the future.
Q: How do you and your teammates support each other during practices and competitions?
A:We support each other by shouting out encouraging words and praying together as a team.
Q: What’s the most exciting or memorable moment you’ve had during a game?
A:My most exciting moment was this year when our football team won the conference game.
Q: What inspired you to become a cheerleader?
A:I was inspired to become a cheerleader from when I was younger watching other cheerleaders.
Q:What’s the hardest stunt or routine you’ve ever learned?
A:The hardest cheer routine i’ve learned would be our homecoming routine from my freshman year because it was my first year on varsity and the stunts were very advanced.
Q: If you could cheer for any professional team, which one would it be?
A: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone interested in trying out for varsity cheer?
A: I would tell them to focus less on their ability and more on their personality and who they are as a person.
Q: What’s one lesson cheerleading has taught you that you’ll carry with you forever?
A: A lesson that I have learned during cheerleading is the impact that my words have on people and on how being positive can impact someone’s entire life.
